The purpose of the Children's Ministry at First Baptist
Church:
We strive to help parents lay a solid foundation for their
children to build their spiritual lives on. Our mission is to attract kids to fun and relevant learning experiences. Teach them in the way
they should go, and release them into the world to be people who honor
Christ above all else.
The
Children's Ministry at FBC
offers an abundance
of activities and programs
for all children.
Sunday
School -
Sunday's at 9:45 a.m.
Sunday School is a time for children to discover how much God cares for them and that He has a plan for their lives. Children are divided into Sunday School classes based on age. These smaller groups allow for more relationship building and greater freedom to ask questions or make observations. First Baptist has a group of dedicated teachers who give their time every week to insure that kids learn more about God and how to apply what they learn to their personal lives.

Square
1 -
Wednesday's at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday evenings children will experience an
hour of fun and learning. Singing, activities and learning about
God's grace, keep children coming back for more! 5th & 6th
graders also have the opportunity to engage in a more in-depth
study every 8-12 weeks, choosing from 3 different studies.
Mission Friends -
Wednesday's at 6:30 p.m.
Pre-K 4 and 5 year olds, spend time each Wednesday night learning about and experiencing missions. Each month they are introduced to a new missionary unit. Some are located in the United States, while others serve on the other side of the world.

A nursery is provided during all Sunday and Wednesday services for children birth through 3 years old. Our volunteers are high quality and they look forward to caring for your child. We have a silent pager system that gives us the ability to reach you anywhere in the building. If your child becomes upset or expresses the need for you, we will send out a page so that you might come and comfort her/him.
Your child's security is out top priority. Name tags are provided for each child. Name tags allow volunteers to call your child by name as well as provide important information. Only individuals authorized by you and listed on the back of the name tag are allowed to take your child from the nursery. As an added security measure, the name tag is marked with the number of the pager checked out to you. That pager is to be shown to the nursery volunteer when you come to pick up your child.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14
